News : World Red Cross Red Crescent Day Youth Message
on 2009/4/29
A message from Tengku Zatashah binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (MRCS National Youth Ambassador)

She is the daughter of the HRH Sultan Selangor and a former journalist who has worked in Paris, London, Barcelona and Kuala Lumpur. As international corporate communications manager at L'Oreal in Paris from 2005 to end-2008, she was in charge of sustainable development, HR, corporate and financial media communications. She is in the process of launching a venture in Malaysia together with her husband, Audry Rahim Mennesson.
Dear Fellow Youth Members of Malaysian Red Crescent Society,
This year to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement, we have gone online with our latest campaign ‘Our World. Your Move’ to raise awareness of the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges and to show what individuals are doing to make a meaningful difference. We can all make a difference, young or old, and together the small and simple gestures can change the world. It’s our call to action!
Go online http://ourworld-yourmove.org and check out what you can do. You can share your personal story on their blog; you can read other people’s stories of hope and humanity; you can download games and you can make a move by simply going online. Join Our World Your Move on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Digg, as I have done. The campaign is also on MySpace, Reddit and Deicious. Imagine we have over 3,000 members on Facebook Group so let’s get it going!
Check out this great video on Youtube called Simple Gestures. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShgBMTC82Tk
Get motivated. Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement may be 150 years old, but with Our World Your Move, we are connected together in the 21st century online.
Yours sincerely,
Tengku Zatashah binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (MRCS National Youth Ambassador)
